Trim Your Wick Before Every Burn
Before you light up, trim your wick to 1/4 inch. This helps your candle burn more evenly, prevents smoke, and makes your flame safer and cleaner. If you skip this step, you may notice black soot or a dancing flame.
Pro Tip: Try a wick trimmer or even nail scissors to keep it tidy.
Let the Wax Pool on the First Burn
The first time you burn your candle is the most important! Let the wax melt all the way to the edges of the jar—this can take 2–4 hours depending on the size. If you don’t, your candle might “tunnel” and waste wax around the sides.
Think of it as “setting the memory” of your candle.
Keep Away from Drafts
To keep your flame steady and your burn clean, place your candle away from fans, windows, or air vents. Drafts can cause uneven burning and smoke—plus they waste your candle faster!
Boost That Scent Throw
If you want your space to smell amazing:
